The Zenhaven conveniently offers two firmness level options – the luxury plus and gentle firm, so that people will different preferences can still find what they are looking for. The luxury plush is 5-7 on a scale of 1-10, and the more firm option is about an 8/10. This type of firmness for most people (including myself) is a little too firm, but if you are a back sleeper or a heavier built, you might feel more comfortable on the gentle firm variety.

Cooling Properties
When is comes to cooling properties and temperature regulation, the Zenhaven mattresses are great at preventing sleepers from feeling heat, or at least heat that comes from the mattress. This can be credited to the latex’s temperature regulatory features, and as a hot sleeper I really appreciated having this added benefit. It’s important to note that 1 is the coolest on this scale.

After performing the classic glass of water test on the bed, I was happy to see that the motion transfer on this mattress is low and this goes for both levels of firmness. For those of you who aren’t yet familiar with the water test, it means placing it on one side of the bed and sitting on the other to see what happens to the water.

The Zenhaven has solid edge support, offering a supportive feeling even when sitting on the very edge of the bed, without having to worry that I might fall off.

Zenhaven makes a great mattress option for people who are environmentally-conscious and are willing to invest a little extra for it too. Of course, this isn’t the only advantage of the mattress, with great features and top-notch customer support too that also justify the cost. I also see the old mattress removal as a big advantage, as well as the fact that it’s from a really well-known brand.
