Sizes & Pricing

Saatva Classic

While selecting a Saatva Classic mattress, you first select the comfort level of your mattress: luxury firm, plush soft, or firm. Then choose the height of your mattress: 11.5” or 14.5”. Select whether you want an adjustable base or not, decide if you want a frame, and choose from one of the following sizes:

Twin: The twin mattress costs $799. Its dimensions are 38 x 75″.

Twin XL: The twin XL mattress is priced at $999. Its dimensions are 38 x 80″.

Full: The full-sized mattress costs $1,299. Its dimensions are 54 x 75″.

Queen: The queen sized mattress costs $1,399, and its dimensions are 60 x 80″.

King: The king sized mattress price is $1,799. Its dimensions are 76 x 80″.

Split King: The split king measures 76 x 80″ and costs $1,999.

Cal King: The Cal king mattress costs $1,799. Its dimensions are 72 x 84″.

Split Cal King: The split Cal king mattress costs $1,999 and measures 72 x 84″.

Note that prices will vary based on how you customize your mattress — for example, there is a difference in price between the 11-inch and 14.5-inch height choice.

Saatva Latex Hybrid

The Saatva Latex Hybrid is available in 7 sizes. Unlike the Saatva Classic, the Latex Hybrid comes at one set height (13 inches) and there is only one firmness level.

Twin: The twin measures 38″ x 75″ and costs $1,099.

Twin XL: The twin XL measures 38″ x 80″ and costs $1,249.

Full: The full measures 54″ x 75″ and costs $1,599.

Queen: The queen size measures 60″ x 80″ and costs $1,799.

King: The king size measures 76″ x 80″ and costs $2,199.

Cal King: The Cal king measures 72″ x 84″ and costs $2,199.

Split King: The split king measures 76″ x 80″ and costs $2,499.

You can also conveniently add a foundation, frame, or adjustable base to your order as well. Compared to its counterparts, Saatva offers very reasonable prices for a luxury mattress.

Construction

Saatva Classic

The Saatva Classic mattress combines wrapped comfort coils, foam layers, edge support, and a cotton cover. It’s constructed from the following layers:

Foam layer: Under the quilted cover is a memory foam enhancement layer which is responsible for providing exceptional pressure relief and continuous airflow. Saatva uses CertiPUR-US foam.

Individually wrapped coils: This layer of wrapped coils adds bounce to the mattress and helps in providing body support. These coils also play a part in the mattress isolating motion.

Support layer: The support layer comprises of steel coils which act as the mattress’ support layer and also help in making the user feel adequately supported. These coils along with the ones placed above them add to the bounce of the mattress and add to its pressure-responsiveness.

Foundation: The last layer of the mattress is made up of high-density polyfoam. This foundation acts as the mattress’ edge support and ensures that the mattress keeps its shape at all times.

Saatva Latex Hybrid

The Saatva Latex Hybrid features four layers, not counting the organic cotton cover. They are as follows:

Organic wool layer: Sitting right beneath the cover of the mattress, this organic New Zealand wool layer acts as a natural fire retardant while also being breathable to prevent overheating at night.

Talalay latex layer: Talalay is considered a premium latex and of higher quality than Dunlop latex. This layer provides the sleeper with support and is very responsive to the body. Nevertheless, you won’t feel like you sink into it as much as you would with memory foam. This latex layer has a five zone design that provides more firmness and pressure relief specifically in the lumbar region.

Quantum edge coil unit: In this layer, you’ll find three types of coils that work together to provide incredible support while contouring to your body, isolate motion, and provide excellent edge support.

Organic eco loft pad: The final layer of the Saatva Latex Hybrid mattress provides stability for your mattress and all of the layers above it.

Saatva mattresses are made in the USA.

Mattress Cover

The Saatva Classic and Saatva Hybrid Latex mattress both feature covers that are made of soft and breathable GOTS-certified organic cotton. The cover is foam-quilted, adding to the mattress’s pressure relief and its gentleness. Due to an antimicrobial fabric treatment, the cover is bacteria-resistant.

Firmness, Feel & Support

The firmness, feel, and support of the Saatva Classic and Saatva Latex Hybrid are a bit different. The Saatva Classic allows you to choose between three firmness levels: Plush Soft, Luxury Firm, and Firm.

The Plush Soft mattress is better for people who sleep on their sides or are combination sleepers. If you choose Plush Soft, it will score about a 3 on a scale of 1-10 (with 1 being softest and 10 being firmest).

Their Luxury Firm mattress is the most popular, and it also offers good overall support. Regardless of your sleeping position, you shouldn’t feel a noticeable amount of sinkage within the mattress and instead should be able to feel that your weight is equally distributed across the mattress. Luxury Firm scores about a 6 on the 1-10 firmness scale. The Saatva Latex Hybrid is also considered medium-firm and would feel similar to this level in firmness.

Their firmest option, which is just called Firm, is more like an 8 on the 1-10 firmness scale. This option is best for people who sleep primarily on their backs or stomachs, not on their sides. It’s also a good choice for heavier bodies if you don’t want to feel like you sink into the mattress too much.

When it comes to motion transfer, as long as the intensity of motion is not enough to engage the coil layers, the mattress does a great job at isolating motion. However, when the movement is intensive enough to involve the coil layers, the motion does get transferred.

As for bounce, the Latex Hybrid will feel a bit more bouncy than the Saatva Classic. Edge support in both mattresses are very good, particularly in the Latex Hybrid thanks to the different types of coils used around the perimeter.

Purchase & Delivery Process

After selecting the options you desire in your mattress, all you have to do is to go through the simple online process of paying for it. The delivery process is also seamless, as the shipping is free and you get white-glove delivery along with mattress removal. Saatva does not charge a cancellation fee prior to the day of delivery. If the delivery runs later than the time window, promised Saatva gives you the option to cancel your order with a full refund. Mattresses can be delivered to the contiguous United States. If you live in Hawaii or Alaska, contact Saatva via the live chat on their website, and they’ll be happy to provide you with a list of forwarders who other customers have used to help complete their deliveries.

Does this mattress need a separate box spring and does it include a bed frame?

answer
A box spring is not necessary, but you may like to have a box spring, platform, or frame to raise the height of the mattress. When purchasing the Saatva mattress online, you'll be offered the option to add a bed frame and base. The delivery of your mattress includes free set up with the frame as well.

Can you deliver to Hawaii?

answer
Saatva offers delivery to the contiguous US at this time, but that doesn't mean that you can't get a Saatva mattress in Hawaii. Saatva's Hawaiian customers have used the following freight contractors to manage the delivery beyond the continental US:
Aloha Freight Forwarders, Honolulu Freight Service, Project Transport, America West, H2O Logistics.

I already have a foundation. Will the Lineal adjustable base work with my foundation?

answer
The Lineal adjustable base is not intended for use with another foundation. Foundations and box springs cannot work with the base since they are not flexible and will not bend.
Guest

How much does it weigh?

answer
The weight of the mattress will depend on the size that you select, as well as the comfort level that you choose: Luxury Firm, Plush Soft, or Firm.

Does the mattress have side handles, and is the mattress flipable? What about rotation?

answer
Yes, the Saatva does have side handles. The Saatva mattress should be rotated (not flipped) every year.

I have a King size (2 twins) Craftmatic bed. Will your split king mattress work with that frame?

answer
The Saatva King size mattress measures 76 x 80" and a twin mattress measures 38 x 75. Choose the appropriate size to fit your bed frame.
Guest

Does the price also include the box springs?

answer
Box springs are not needed with the Saatva mattress. If desired, you can choose to add a bed frame and base for an additional cost at checkout.
Guest

can this matresss be put on an adjustable bed frame

answer
The Saatva Mattress 11.5" luxury innerspring is compatible with an adjustable base (which you can also purchase from Saatva), but the 14.5" mattress is not compatible.

What do you mean not temperature controlled? Will it be hot?

answer
The Saatva mattress has a foam layer that promotes air circulation. If you are typically someone who feels very hot no matter what when they sleep, you may prefer the Nectar mattress which offers more temperature control features, such as the Tencel cooling cover, gel memory foam, and breathable base layer. https://top5-mattresses.com/reviews/nectar/

Both myself and husband have some serious back issues, so which of your mattress do you feel would be best for us?
I don’t want a really hard or firm mattress but husband doesn’t want one that is too soft where you sink down and makes it hard to roll over or get out of bed. Also, which height do you feel would be best? We have a King Size and feel that is what we would want to continue to have.

answer
As we are not medical professionals, we cannot comment on which mattress is best for you and your husband's "serious back issues" -- this may be something you'd like to speak to your doctor or physical therapist about. Saatva offers mattresses in a variety of firmness levels. If you and your husband want a mattress that is not too soft nor too firm, you may find the Luxury Firm most comfortable. The Luxury Firm is firmer than the Plush Soft but less hard than the Firm. If you have difficulty getting into and out of bed, a mattress that, combined with foundation, is a comfortable height for you may help. Saatva offers both 11.5" and  14.5" height options.

My mattress is 30 years old, still supports my body, however, I toss and turn for hours, before sleep comes. I am 71, wear a cpap machine, diabetes, and blood pressure. Is it my age and illnesses, or my mattress or both? honesty please.

answer
All of these factors could potentially be contributing to your tossing and turning. That being said, a 30-year-old mattress is likely not helping matters. Generally, it is recommended that mattresses be replaced every 7-10 years (depending on the mattress). Other signs that it's time to replace your mattress include waking up not feeling rested, the mattress sagging, worsening allergies (due to dust in the mattress), noisy springs when you move, and more. Keep in mind that your mattress has been absorbing dead skin cells, sweat, and moisture all of these years. While you should certainly discuss your health concerns with your doctor to see what else can be done to help you sleep better, it's also a good idea to replace a 30-year-old mattress.

reviews are good but where can I actually test the Saatva mattresses with adjustable lineal frame out

answer

Of your top five mattresses on this list…is there one that you would recommend for a side sleeper about 250 lbs? I’ve been looking at the Necter and Dreamcloud quite a bit but struggling to make a final choice in any of them.

answer
Side sleepers want to have an adequate combination softness for cushioning your shoulders and hips along with support. The Nectar mattress is a great choice and comes with a 365-night sleep trial.

I have a Tempurpedic adjustable base. Will that work with your mattress?

answer
Yes, it should work with the 11.5-inch high Saatva mattress.

what do you mean by by the review, not the best for temperate control????

answer
If you normally feel very hot when you sleep, you may feel warm with the Saatva as well since it does not have special added "cooling gel" layers like some other mattresses feature.

Since this bed does not need box springs and uses a bed frame, what exactly is the foundation?

answer
If you don't already have a foundation/base for your mattress, you can choose to purchase one of Saatva's. Saatva offers both a foundation + frame for sale (heavy duty metal bed frame as well as eco-friendly foams and organic cotton) or the lineal adjustable base.
Guest

On the split king size mattress, can you get Saatva on one side and Nectar on the other side.

answer
You can purchase a twin Nectar and a twin Saatva to put next to each other. You should be aware, however, that the heights won't exactly match up. The Nectar is 11" high whereas, for the Saatva, the options are 11.5" high or 14.5" high.

Do I need a mattress topper with the luxury firm queen?

answer
A mattress topper isn't required, however everyone has different preferences when it comes to sleep. You should try the Saatva on its own first. You will most likely love it as is, but if you decide after giving it some time that you really prefer to add a topper, you can always get one.

We live in a one bedroom condo. Since we have guests occasionally, we purchased two tween size mattresses to use when needed. Could we place these two tween size mattresses underneath the Saatva king size mattress to store during periods when we have no guests?

answer
This is not a great idea since the king size mattress is larger and the edges will hang over the sides of the queens.
Guest

Is there any way to try it out before bringing it to my home?

answer
Saatva offers a 120 day trial period so you can try the mattress in your home. Saatva sees this as a better option than trying the mattress for just 5 minutes in a store.

My wife and I are both side and back sleepers Our current mattress makes that hard to do for it is too firm. We often wake with stiffness, neck, back and arm pain. What mattress do you feel is best for us?

answer
Saatva is a great choice since you can choose your firmness level! Luxury Firm (which is a 5-7 on the firmness scale) is Saatva's most popular choice and is softer than their Firm option (which is an 8 on the 1-10 firmness scale). If you want really soft, however, there is also a Plush Soft option.

We have a King Size bed with split box springs, metal frame and a headboard. We have had to replace our King mattress more often than we should have had to due to sagging. (3 times in 10 years) Our weight (individual and combined) should not be a problem. Years ago, we would rotate and flip the mattress every 3 – 4 months, but today’s mattresses are to be rotated only. We are interested in the Saatva Cal. King, Luxury Firm after reading the information and reviews. My question, is it recommended to replace the box springs and frame when… Read more »

I am a 250 Pound side sleeper ans I ake up with sore shoulders will this matress help

answer
We are not medical providers and cannot make any claims as to whether a mattress will or will not prevent or reduce pain. That being said, Saatva offers a range of firmness options so you can choose your preferred firmness level. You also get a long trial period and free shipping, so if the mattress does not meet your needs, you can return it.

Ok we have two queen size beds both have box springs and one is on a frame that has head board and boards across the bott0m of the frame with a connected to a foot board. . Both beds are quiet high. I was wondering if your frame fits inside of the Oak frame of the one bed. The other bed is on medal frame no head or foot board, both have box springs. I think I would need the box springs to get the height?

answer
The Saatva frames are fully adjustable, so they can fit any size mattress.

Saatva also offers an adjustable bed. The Queen size measures 6o" x 80".

When purchasing a Saatva mattress, you can specify whether you prefer 11.5" height or 14.5" height. Box springs are not required for Saatva mattresses.

I have had my Tempurpedic for 20+ years. My back hurts every morning (I have a bad back to begin with) and I’m looking for a new bed, but the Tempurpedic current prices are just too high. I have it on a base. I prefer not to replace the base but in your comments it notes that you need to get the Saatva base? Also, my current mattress is about 10″….How do I decide if I want the 11.5 or the 14? Will the 14 be softer/harder than the 11.5?

answer
Thank you for your questions. You do not need to get the Saatva base if you already have a base that you like. The firmness of the mattress will not be affected by the height you choose. You may find it easier to get into or out of bed with a lower mattress (the 11.5" one). You'll select the desired firmness level separately: Luxury Firm, Plush Soft, or Firm.
Guest
Bill

If for some reason we are not satisfied with the bed, what is the process for returning it.

You'll have 120 days to decide if you want to keep the mattress. If you're not satisfied, just contact Saatva and someone will come to pick it up. All money will be refunded except for a $99 transportation cost.

I have a foam mattress that has a dip on both sides where we lay, my husband sits on the side of the bed for short periods and that area has also dipped, will this mattress do the same?

answer
Saatva mattresses are built to last 10-15 years with normal usage, so you should not have a problem. Furthermore, body impressions of more than 1" are covered by the 15-year warranty. It is recommended that you rotate your mattress at least once a year.  The Saatva mattress can support up to 300 pounds per side.
Guest
Susan

How do you determine depth of sagging or depth of body impressions that may occur during warranty time frame?

answer
You can measure it with a ruler. Body impressions of greater than 1" are covered by Saatva's warranty.

If you decide to return the mattress within 120 trial periold, i am aware of the $99 fee but what if you just want to exchange the mattress.. if i bought the luxury firm and exchange it for the soft plush. Is that a fee too? I am considering saatva or beatyrest hybrid .

answer
Should you choose to exchange your Saatva for a different size or firmness level, it will be covered with just the $99 transportation fee. Additionally, Saatva never re-sells exchanged mattresses, instead donating them to veterans' shelters.

We have purchased two “premium mattress” in 9 years and both have had serious depressions where our hips rest. Neither one of us is considered heavy. Will this mattress stay flat for more than a year?

The mattress should not develop any depressions. If there is a depression of greater than 1", it will be covered by your warranty.

Nice that you give 3 months to determine if you like the mattress. However, that leaves one question. If you take the old mattress and we want to exchange the mattress or a refund, what do we do use in the mean time for sleeping? Searched in info you gave and for previous questions. Did not find this question.

answer
During the 120 day sleep trial, if you decide that you want to exchange your mattress, you'll coordinate with Saatva's customer support. They will come and pick up your old mattress and bring you the new one so you won't have to go without a place to sleep.

The Saatva mattress supports up to 300 lbs per side whereas the Saatva HD supports up to 500 lbs per side. If you weigh 350 lbs, you should consider getting the Saatva HD for better support.

We have allergies here so we purchased a bamboo mattress about 10 years ago, which states it does not get dust mites. However it creaks since day 1 and we both do not sleep well. I get migraines nightly and could use a raised bed. So do you have available 2 twins we can put together where we get the adjustable frame for 1 and regular frame for the other. 2 twins equal a full size right?

answer
Two twin beds will actually be closer to a king mattress than a full mattress. You may want to look into getting a split king. You can even get a split king adjustable base. If you choose two different bases for two twin beds -- one adjustable, one not -- you have to keep in mind that one may be taller than the other and they might not line up exactly.

You should definitely consider a memory foam mattress since they are great for reducing motion disturbance. https://top5-mattresses.com/memory-foam/

Hi, I’m looking for a California King sized adjustable split. We have a Cal King platform bed now. I assume we have to buy a new frame with the mattress, or is it possible to use an adjustable split mattress within the bed frame we now have?

answer
If you want to buy a Cal King split adjustable mattress, you probably want to go ahead and get a split Cal King adjustable base (which Saatva also sells). This will allow you to adjust each side of the bed independently.
