An aspect of TEMPUR-Pedic’s mattresses that caught my attention was the selection of firmness levels, of which TEMPUR offers several.

• Soft – If you’re a side sleeper, a soft mattress offers the most comfort. Options like TEMPUR-Pedic’s TEMPUR-LuxeBreeze provide contouring and pushback support, eliminating hip or shoulder pain.
• Medium – TEMPUR-Pedic’s “medium” firmness mattress is composed of layers of foam and TEMPUR-Material. The TEMPUR-Adapt collection comes in medium firmness.
• Medium Hybrid – You can also find all TEMPUR-Adapt models in medium-hybrid, which combines TEMPUR-Material with an innovative coil system that provides a more responsive feel.
• Firm – Offering maximum back support and longevity, this option is great if you prefer sleeping on your back. The ProAdapt firm is one of TEMPUR-Pedic’s most popular firm mattresses.

The patented cooling properties are one of the core offerings TEMPUR-Pedic includes in its mattresses. This cooling technology comprises several layers:

• The SmartClimate® Air Cover – This cool-to-the-touch, removable cover is made from heat-absorbing fibres that draw heat away from your body.
• Ventilated TEMPUR® Heat-Diffusing Layer – Situated just below the cover, the heat-diffusing layer absorbs excess heat and enhances cooling.
• Pure Cool® & Pure Cool® Plus Material – This patented layer is designed to pull heat away from your body. Pure Cool can leave you feeling up to 5℃ cooler, while Pure Cool Plus can take this up to 10℃, making this tech suitable for hot sleepers.
• Hybrid Technology Air-Distribution Layer – A breathable layer that helps maintain a cool sleep temperature. The design allows air to disperse, preventing pockets of hot air.
• TEMPUR-Ergo® ProSmart® Air Base – The base is one-of-a-kind and includes specially designed fans that quietly circulate air upwards, through the mattress, maintaining cool comfort throughout the night.

The TEMPUR-Adapt range is the best for pressure relief. The brand uses TEMPUR-Material, designed to adapt to your body weight and shape, absorbing your body’s force and relieving pressure on your joints. An ergonomic 5-zone layer that cushions the shoulders, hips, and knees, further reducing pressure on these areas.

TEMPUR-Material uses unique construction techniques that absorb movement as you change sleeping positions, while contouring your body to reduce pressure.

If you prefer more bounce, TEMPUR-Pedic medium hybrid mattresses, with wrapped coils, are better. These coils provide additional edge support and make it easier to move about in bed.

TEMPUR-Pedic uses advanced material technology that isolates movement at the source, which is great if your partner is a restless sleeper, as it eliminates that annoying jiggle.

All of TEMPUR-Pedic’s mattresses include edge support. I found that the hybrid models are better in this area, using 1,000+ premium wrapped coils with TEMPUR-Material to create dual-density edge layers.

These coils are wrapped to prevent squeaking and motion transfer, so you get the support you’re after without the frustrations of coil beds.

Each TEMPUR-Pedic mattress features unique construction based on the needs it is designed to meet. However, they all follow the same core construction.

• Comfort Layer – Every TEMPUR-Pedic mattress includes a layer of TEMPUR-Material, which provides comfort and supportive cushioning. Different ranges offer this layer in varying thicknesses.
• Support Layer – An additional layer of TEMPUR-Material that is slightly firmer and relieves pressure.
• Ventilated Relief Layer – Included in the TEMPUR-Adapt and TEMPUR-Breeze collections, this ventilated foam provides support and pressure relief while keeping you cool.
• Air Distribution Layer – Used in the TEMPUR-ActiveBreeze model, this layer adds additional ventilation for continued cooling.
• Pure Cool and Pure Cool Plus – A layer of material included in the TEMPUR-Breeze series designed to pull heat away from your body.
• Hybrid Technology Layer – Available only in hybrid mattresses, this layer features over 1,000 wrapped coils that provide slightly more support and responsiveness.
• Base Layer – A premium foam base that adds protection and support.

The SmartClimate Cover uses SmartClimate cool-to-the-touch material with antimicrobial treatment to keep you cool and allergen-free. The four-way stretch allows it to fit your mattress comfortably, and machine washing in cool water makes it simple to care for.

TEMPUR-Pedic is known for its adjustable beds. These come in four ranges:

These bases provide maximum comfort through unique features. Wireless remotes activate the zero-gravity function to reduce pressure on your back and a massage function. Snore Response automatically adjusts the bed by 12° to help reduce snoring.

USB ports, underbed lighting, and a smart alarm are among the other elements worked into these adjustable beds. These features are user-friendly, and you can control them independently on split bases.

The TEMPUR-Cloud topper offers comfort and support, with two inches of TEMPUR-Material. It is dust-mite and allergen-resistant. For added support and cooling, the TEMPUR-Adapt Topper is the better option, with three inches of TEMPUR-Material and cool-to-the-touch performance fabric.

TEMPUR-Pedic has pillows for back, side, or stomach sleepers in queen and king sizes. All pillows include the proprietary TEMPUR-Material for pressure relief and support. The TEMPUR-Cloud® Hybrid Pillow includes a layer of TEMPUR-Blend, a proprietary foam blend. If you’d prefer a cooling pillow, the TEMPUR-Cloud® Dual Cooling™ Pillow has a layer of cooling gel that absorbs excess heat.

All other mattresses and bases qualify for free white-glove delivery (except in Hawaii or Alaska, where a $600 fee applies). White-glove service includes your mattress delivery and setup, and removal of packaging materials and your old mattress.
