Pillar Sleep mattresses come in two different firmness options and a combination of the two. When choosing a mattress from Pillar Sleep, you’ll get to choose between medium firm and medium soft firmness, or if you and your partner prefer different firmness options, you can also choose a mattress that’s made to fit both of your preferences. Personally, this was a serious game changer since my boyfriend does prefer a less firm mattress, and I have yet to see another brand offer such a feature. Up until now, I’ve only come across double-sided firmness options. In addition, all mattresses are made with superior side support, so you’ll never have the feeling like you’re going to slip from the bed.

The Pillar Sleep mattresses are constructed in such a way that they provide amazing support, but are still extremely comfortable and don’t feel overly firm. Each Pillar Sleep mattress includes a durable breathing cover, a 2” suspend quilting foam, a 2” graphite infused cooling foam which can be soft or firm, a 2” support foam, 8” tri-zone wrapped pocketed coils, and a 1” base foam.

The mattress cover on Pillar Sleep mattresses is an invaluable addition to an already great product. Even the standard mattress cover is breathable, but the GlacierICE cooling cover makes these mattresses worth every penny. The cooling cover does exactly what the name suggests – it keeps the mattress cool throughout the night, so you’ll never feel excess warmth that can interfere with the quality of your sleep. It is important to note, however, that this comes at an additional cost.
