Construction

The Sleeping Duck mattress is assembled in China but made of 100% Australian-produced materials. It features a 3-layer hybrid construction that combines pocket springs and pressurised foams that are more breathable than standard foams and produced without chemicals, making it safer and healthier for sleepers.

The three layers of the Sleeping Duck mattress include:

Antigravity Surface Foam – This proprietary foam offers a feeling of weightlessness by combining the pressure-relieving quality of memory foam and the buoyancy of latex. It is also highly breathable so you stay cool throughout the night.
ComponentAdapt Customisation System– A layer of high-density polyurethane foam controls the firmness of the mattress. Choose between medium, firm, or both, if you are a couple with different sleep preferences.
Motherboard Multi-Zoned System – A layer of individually-wrapped pocket springs makes up the base of the mattress, delivering zoned support to cater to key areas of the body, including hips, lower back, and shoulders. Each spring responds to pressure individually to prevent motion transfer.

Mattress cover

The three layers of the Sleeping Duck mattress are wrapped in a soft and silky bamboo cover. Bamboo is naturally breathable and antimicrobial, helping your bed stay fresh for longer.

The BreatheTech vortex-spun bamboo cover can be unzipped and removed, and it can be machine-washed.

The removable mattress cover allows for comfort adjustments. When you request a change in the comfort of your mattress, Sleeping Duck will send you a new foam piece to install on your own. All foam pieces are colour-coded to make it easy for you.

Delivery process

Purchases of a Sleeping Duck mattress can be made online or over the phone. Orders are dispatched from Melbourne the next day and arrive at your door in 5 to 10 business days. Deliveries take place Monday through Friday between 8 AM and 6 PM.

Your Sleeping Duck mattress arrives vacuum-compressed and rolled into a compact box, making it easy to transport to your room. To install, you will need to remove the plastic wrap and allow the mattress to decompress for 3 hours before laying on it. It may continue to expand for up to 72 hours to its full size, shape, and firmness.

After 40 nights, customer service with follow up to see if any adjustments need to be made. However, you can contact a customer service agent about adjustments on your own after you have had your mattress for three weeks. Adjustments are free during the 100-night trial period. If you are unsatisfied with your mattress, you can also choose to return it for free during the trial period and receive a full refund.

Sleeping Duck mattresses come with a 10-year warranty.

How can I adjust the firmness of my mattress?

If you aren’t satisfied with the firmness of your mattress, contact customer support and they will send you a piece of foam to replace in your mattress. You will need to unzip the cover, remove the piece of foam currently controlling firmness, and replace it with the new foam. Foams are colour-coded to make adjustments easy.

How do I decide which firmness to choose?

Consider your sleeping position. Medium firmness is generally recommended for side sleepers, who need a bit more give around the shoulders and hips. Firm comfort tends to be better for stomach and back sleepers who need more support to keep their spine in a healthy position.
