Construction
For the purpose of this review, we will be talking about the EOS classic mattress. Here’s how it’s built:
Comfort layer
Right below the mattress’s cover is the 3” thick natural latex layer. This layer is responsible for adding to the mattress’s pressure relief and comfort features. Latex also adds a bit of bounce to the mattress and helps in ensuring maximum breathability.
Support layer
The comfort layer is followed by the high-density support layer of the mattress. Its 8” tall with pocket coils. The individual wrapping of these coils isolates motion and provides contouring comfort to the sleeper.
Mattress Cover
The EOS classic’s cover is made up of 100% organic cotton and is very gentle to the touch. The material is really breathable and helps give the sleeper a soothing sleeping experience. The cover is also quilted with soft batting which furthers its ability to provide pressure relief.
Firmness, Feel & Support
The mattress is soft from the top which allows you to sink a bit into it upon the application of light pressure. As you increase the pressure, you can feel the latex and support layers engaging and providing instant pressure relief. These layers also add the necessary bounce to the mattress which lets a sleeper rest perfectly on the top. Overall, the cushion-firm mattress has medium-soft firmness. The EOS classic does come with customizable firmness, so depending on your sleeping preferences, you can choose the right kind (options are extra firm, firm, cushion firm and plush).
The mattress does a great job at providing pressure relief, an adequate amount of support, and motion isolation; all from its hybrid-encased coil and latex design. With that said, it’s safe to conclude that the mattress will be able to provide a comfortable sleeping experience to most sleepers.
Purchase & Delivery Process
You can place the order directly from the website and the shipping normally takes 3-5 business days. It also costs $99 if you go for delivery and self-setup. You can easily choose to finance your mattress by selecting “Affirm” at checkout.
