The GhostBed Natural consists of five layers:
1. The topmost layer, the Organic Cotton Cover, is chemical and toxin-free. It protects the mattress from elements of nature and gives the mattress a soft and comforting feel.
2. 1.8 oz of Natural Wool enriches the second layer – keeping the body’s temperature at a moderate level during sleep. Wool is also a natural fire barrier and protects the mattress, removing the need for chemical fire-retardants.
3. A 2” inch-layer of pure Talalay latex is positioned in the middle layer of the mattress and provides a little bounciness to it. It naturally cushions your body without causing excess sinkage.
4. A set of wrapped individually 8” reinforced coils reside in the 4th layer- giving a bouncy and cool feel to the mattress while keeping it light-weighed. The trademark Spirited Edge support doesn’t let the user slip away from the corner, thanks to the reinforced coils around the perimeter.
5. The foundation layer, the Dunlop Latex-Base, ensures long-lasting durability and support of the mattress.
The top cover is made from organic cotton and enhances the mattress’s cooling properties. The second layer, comprising Natural wool, acts as a heat insulator, preventing the sleeper’s body from heating up. The naturally cooling latex core in the third layer facilitates even heat dissipation and cooling throughout the night. Additionally, the fourth layer features airflow-enhancing coils that add to the temperature regulation features of the mattress. All of these components combine to make the Ghostbed Natural an exceptionally cool mattress.
The mattress is easily adjustable to existing frames, cutting the cost of making new frames. It user materials featuring certifications including GOTS and GOLS organic certifications.
