Ecosa consists of four layers, each of which plays a vital role in delivering a comfortable and enjoyable sleeping experience.
Ergonomic support foam
The base of the mattress consists of a breathable, ergonomic support foam, which is the primary layer responsible for keeping your spine aligned properly. It also relieves general pressure points and doesn’t disturb your partner, making it a great choice for couples. Like all the other layers, the base features a pin-core holes design which allows air to circulate inside the mattress, aiding with the cooling aspect of the product.
ECO-Tex memory foam
Also known as the comfort layer, ECO-Tex is made with the help of the new open-cell technology developed by Ecosa’s engineers. Developed primarily to satisfy customer requests, ECO-Tex memory foam has come to replace the latex comfort layer, which caused allergies, was less durable and less breathable. The ECO-Tex layer also brings increased contouring to the table and allows for a bit of bounciness, while also offering higher build quality and improved breathability.
G-7 gel memory foam
Designed to aid and complement the previous two layers, the G-7 layer adds extra breathability, allowing for even better cooling, and further helps relieve pressure points during sleep.
Waterproof inner cover
Nice addition to any mattress, the inner cover keeps the mattress safe from being harmed by liquids, oils, and moisture that your body produces during sleep, which can cause cooling issues and create a favorable environment for bacteria to breed. Also, thanks to the German micro-filament technology, it keeps away beg bugs and supports hygiene.
All of the materials used in the manufacturing process are of high quality and come from Germany, Japan, and China. The mattress is CertiPUR-US, though none of the raw materials are eco-friendly. Eco-friendly materials are at least 95% natural and certified, for instance, organic latex, organic wool, organic foams, etc. However, considering the price, this is more than acceptable.
It’s also worth noting that while the mattress can be placed on any foundation if you’re considering setting it up directly on the floor, you’ll need to allow the space below the mattress to air regularly to avoid moisture build-up underneath.
Thank you!
What do you mean by building up moisture from below? I am an 82 year invalid confined to a wheelchair . Patt
If you choose to put the mattress on the floor (instead of on a base) and live in a particularly humid environment, moisture may build up underneath the mattress. Therefore, you should stand the mattress upright every once in a while to air out. If you put it on a foundation or base instead of flat on the floor, you won't have this issue.
Do I need a base for the Ecosa mattress?
The Ecosa mattress can be placed on a slatted frame, boxspring, floor, or any other firm, flat surface. It is recommended, however, not to keep it long-term on the floor as this will inhibit air circulation around the mattress.
How are Ecosa mattresses shipped?
Ecosa mattresses are shipped for free in the United States within 1 to 5 business days. You’ll be emailed with a tracking ID. The mattress is shipped in a box.
