Every model uses a four-way stretch knit cover that Chime says promotes airflow. The three hybrid models add a gel memory foam lumbar band specifically for cooling around the lower back and hips. The three memory foam models rely on the cover alone for cooling, since a gel or cooling-infused layer isn’t listed in their construction.

Chime markets the 12-inch Hybrid as its most contouring model, pairing a quilted foam comfort layer with the gel memory foam lumbar band for targeted hip and lower-back relief. The memory foam models rely on a single memory foam comfort layer for pressure relief, described as ultra soft on the 12-inch model and medium-feel or firm-responsive on the 8-inch and 10-inch models.

The hybrid models’ individually wrapped coils are built to respond to body movement and contours, which should give more bounce than the all-foam line. Chime doesn’t describe the memory foam models’ responsiveness beyond their firmness level; slower, classic memory-foam response is typical for that construction.

Chime says the individually wrapped coils in its hybrid models absorb motion so it doesn’t transfer across the mattress, which should help couples sharing a bed. The all-foam models should isolate motion well by default, given the construction, though Chime doesn’t make a specific motion-isolation claim for that line.

It ships with a 2-year warranty and a 60-night trial, both shorter than the mattress’s own 10-year warranty and 180-night trial.

Chime sells one pillow, the Serenity Cooling Pillow, made from shredded memory foam and polyester fill with a polyester cover, priced at $75. It’s available in Standard and King sizes, with a 30-night trial and a 1-year warranty, both shorter than the mattress terms.

Chime mattresses ship compressed in a box, typically within 1 to 3 business days of ordering and arriving 2 to 3 business days after that. Shipping is free in the contiguous US; Alaska and Hawaii add $350 per large item. Chime says a new mattress needs 24 to 72 hours to fully expand, though it can be used right away. Items on the same order may ship and arrive separately, each with its own tracking.
