Like I mentioned in the motion transfer/isolation test, the eight inch, individually wrapped coils with thick gauge edge support help improve air circulation, making for built in cooling properties which is awesome, especially since I tend to be a hot sleeper. It’s important to note that 1 is the coolest on the rating scale here.

I took an almost full glass of water and set it on the side of the bed to see if it would spill over when I sat on the edge of the bed. The water did in fact move a little bit, however it didn’t spill over. So with a partner in the bed, you wouldn’t feel all of their moves but the motion isolation of the mattress isn’t the best we’ve come across, so we’ll give it a 5/10 ranking here. The eight inch coils not only help with motion transfer, but combined with the latex material they actually also help improve air circulation within the mattress which helps ensure that you’ll wake up cool and dry.

When I look at the edge support of a mattress, I go to the edge of the bed to see if I feel like I’m going to fall off or what I’m going to feel here from the mattress. And after scooting all the way down to the very edge of the Awara mattress, I really didn’t feel like I was going fall off at all, which is why I would give it a full 10/10 on the edge support factor.
