Our Verdict
For shoppers who want a complete bed setup in one purchase, the Awara Bundle is a strong value: a Queen bundle (mattress, bamboo frame, headboard, bedding, and insurance) runs $1,767 against a combined retail value of $3,921, and the mattress itself is a genuinely well-built latex hybrid: firm (7/10), responsive, and excellent on edge support, per our hands-on testing of the standalone mattress. Motion isolation is only middling (5/10), so light-sleeping couples should weigh that against the savings. The one real wrinkle is the mismatched trial windows: 365 nights to test the mattress, but only 60 nights on the bamboo frame, which is worth knowing going in, since you can commit to the frame long before the mattress trial runs out. Overall, a good fit for eco-conscious buyers assembling a full bedroom setup who are firm (not plush) sleepers.
On firmness specifically: I found the mattress to be soft enough that it wasn’t too taxing on my shoulder, but it was still firm enough that I didn’t feel like I was sinking right in. As a 150-pound side sleeper, this was ideal, although the mattress is ultimately designed for all kinds of sleepers. I would give the Awara mattress a 7/10 on the firmness scale, which is really in line with other luxury mattress brands.

Products & Pricing
The Bamboo Bed Frame and Mattress Bundle is priced by size, from Twin to Cal King, and includes an Awara Classic Hybrid mattress (Premier Hybrid available as an upgrade), a bamboo platform frame with headboard, the “Tranquility” bedding set (cotton sheets, latex pillows, cotton mattress protector), and 10-year extended insurance. On a Queen, that is a $1,767 bundle against a combined retail value of $3,921, a 55% savings. 0% APR financing is available through Affirm (as low as $86/mo on a Queen). Compared to buying an Awara mattress alone, this is a much better per-item value if you actually need the frame and bedding too; if you only want the mattress, the standalone price is lower in absolute terms.

In-depth review
Cooling Properties
Like I mentioned in the motion transfer/isolation test, the eight inch, individually wrapped coils with thick gauge edge support help improve air circulation, making for built in cooling properties which is awesome, especially since I tend to be a hot sleeper. It’s important to note that 1 is the coolest on the rating scale here.
Pressure Relief
The latex and coils in the Awara Natural Hybrid mattress are there specially to contour the body and provided an extra pressure relief when sleeping. This is especially effective for heavier back or stomach sleepers, and although I don’t specifically suffer from pain, my back, hips and shoulders felt great on the mattress.
Responsiveness
The Awara mattress allowed me to move around comfortably and easily – feeling as though it was adapting itself to my sleep position as I moved around, kind of ‘molding’ itself to my body.
Motion Isolation
I took an almost full glass of water and set it on the side of the bed to see if it would spill over when I sat on the edge of the bed. The water did in fact move a little bit, however it didn’t spill over. So with a partner in the bed, you wouldn’t feel all of their moves but the motion isolation of the mattress isn’t the best we’ve come across, so we’ll give it a 5/10 ranking here. The Awara mattress is, however, created with individually wrapped eight inch coils with thick gauge edge support that help improve the breathability of the mattress and reduce overall motion transfer which is very cool.
The eight inch coils not only help with motion transfer, but combined with the latex material they actually also help improve air circulation within the mattress which helps ensure that you’ll wake up cool and dry.
Edge Support
When I look at the edge support of a mattress, I go to the edge of the bed to see if I feel like I’m going to fall off or what I’m going to feel here from the mattress. And after scooting all the way down to the very edge of the Awara mattress, I really didn’t feel like I was going fall off at all, which is why I would give it a full 10/10 on the edge support factor.
Construction
Awara mattresses are 10-inches thick, consisting of 2 inches of latex and 8 inches of five-zone coil springs. Latex makes the mattress breathable and provides a memory foam-like body contouring. The innerspring base provides a medium-firm orthopedic support that prevents tossing and turning throughout the night while also preventing motion disturbance — a great choice for those sharing a bed with a partner or pets. Not too firm and not too soft, this “Goldilocks” mattress is great for people who value support and eco-friendly construction.
Because latex is naturally breathable and the coil layer allows for ample ventilation, the Awara mattress keeps sleepers cool throughout the night. Though it is breathable on its own, a foundation or platform (rather than placing it on the floor) is recommended for maximum breathability, which the bundle’s bamboo frame provides.

Mattress cover
Awara uses GOTS-certified organic New Zealand wool & rayon made from bamboo. This allows for high breathability and helps to keep you cool while you sleep. It also comes with durable handles for easy transportation.
Adjustable beds
The bundle’s bed frame is a bamboo platform frame built with traditional Japanese joinery. It fits together without a single screw or nail, and needs no tools to assemble. It’s available in natural or walnut finishes, and with a choice of three frame types: Frame + Bamboo Headboard (the most popular option, included in the bundle), Frame + Upholstered Headboard (saves $70), or Frame Only (saves $269).
The frame comes with its own 60-night trial and 2-year warranty (both shorter than the mattress’s 365-night trial and lifetime warranty), plus free shipping and returns within that trial window.

Pillow offerings
The bundle’s Tranquility Sleep Bundle includes a set of latex pillows alongside the cotton sheets and mattress protector, at no added cost. Buyers who want extra pillows beyond what’s included can add them separately: Awara lists standalone pillows starting at $99.
Delivery process
Bundles ship within 1-2 business days. The mattress carries Awara’s full 365-night trial with free returns, while the bamboo frame carries its own, shorter 60-night trial, so the frame’s return window closes well before the mattress’s does if you’re still deciding on the mattress. Financing is available at 0% APR through Affirm, with plans as low as $86/mo on a Queen bundle.
Customer Service
One of the areas that Awara mattresses truly excels in is their customer support, also known as the ‘Sleep Concierge’. I haven’t had the chance to use it but the name is adorable. This service offers customer support agents that are available over the phone or on live chat during their extended business hours, 9am to midnight EST, 7 days a week.
Their FAQ section also provides helpful information for any purchasing queries, and they can also be reached through email.
