Our Verdict
I was really satisfied with the Awara mattress and would recommend it to any type of sleepers other than like I already mentioned that those prefer a more plush mattress. This luxurious and firm mattress is bouncy, adaptable to your shape and super comfortable. Also, there’s no harm in trying it out if you’re still not sure it’s the right fit for you and your family since they offer a full 365 night trial to get an idea of how it works for you before you fully commit to it.
Pros
- 365-night trial
- Excellent customer service
- Forever lifetime
- Made for all sleep styles
- Free shipping & return
- Easy finance
Cons
- Not ideal for those that prefer a plush mattress
- Not the cheapest option
In-depth review
Firmness Level
I found the mattress to be soft enough that it wasn’t too taxing on my shoulder, but it was still firm enough that I didn’t feel like I was sinking right in. As an 150 pound side sleeper, this was ideal although the mattress is ultimately designed for all kinds of sleepers. I would give the Awara mattress a 7/10 on the firmness scale, which is really in line with other luxury mattress brands.
Cooling Properties
Like I mentioned in the motion transfer/isolation test, the eight inch, individually wrapped coils with thick gauge edge support help improve air circulation, making for built in cooling properties which is awesome, especially since I tend to be a hot sleeper. It’s important to note that 1 is the coolest on the rating scale here.
Pressure Relief
The latex and coils in the Awara Natural Hybrid mattress are there specially to contour the body and provided an extra pressure relief when sleeping. This is especially effective for heavier back or stomach sleepers, and although I don’t specifically suffer from pain, my back, hips and shoulders felt great on the mattress.
Responsiveness
The Awara mattress allowed me to move around comfortably and easily – feeling as though it was adapting itself to my sleep position as I moved around, kind of ‘molding’ itself to my body.
Motion Isolation
I took an almost full glass of water and set it on the side of the bed to see if it would spill over when I sat on the edge of the bed. The water did in fact move a little bit, however it didn’t spill over. So with my husband in the bed, I wouldn’t feel all of his moves but the motion isolation of the mattress isn’t the best I’ve come across, so i’ll give it a 5/10 ranking here. The Awara mattress is, however, created with individually wrapped eight inch coils with thick gauge edge support that help improve the breathability of the mattress and reduce overall motion transfer which is very cool.
The eight inch coils not only help with motion transfer, but combined with the latex material they actually also help improve air circulation within the mattress which helps ensure that you’ll wake up cool and dry.
Edge Support
When I look at the edge support of a mattress, I go to the edge of the bed to see if I feel like i’m going to fall off or what I’m going to feel here from the mattress. And after scooting all the way down to the very edge of my Awara mattress, I really didn’t feel like I was going fall off at all, which is why I would give it a full 10/10 on the edge support factor.
Construction
Awara mattresses are 10-inches thick, consisting of 2 inches of latex and 8 inches of five-zone coil springs. Latex makes the mattress breathable and provides a memory foam-like body contouring. The innerspring base provides a medium-firm orthopedic support that prevents tossing and turning throughout the night while also preventing motion disturbance — a great choice for those sharing a bed with a partner or pets. Not too firm and not too soft, this “Goldilocks” mattress is great for people who value support and eco-friendly construction.
Because latex is naturally breathable and the coil layer allows for ample ventilation, the Awara mattress keeps sleepers cool throughout the night. Though it is breathable on its own, a foundation or box spring (instead of simply placing the mattress on the floor) is recommended for maximum breathability.
Mattress cover
Awara uses GOTS-certified organic New Zealand wool & rayon made from bamboo. This allows for high breathability and helps to keep you cool while you sleep. It also comes with durable handles for easy transportation.
Adjustable beds
The Awara Adjustable Bed Frame cradles your body’s natural position, whether you’re sleeping, watching TV, or reading a book. Activated by a wireless remote, you can choose to raise your head, feet, or both, according to your comfort. Program your favorite positions so you can find them again with the simple touch of a button. The Awara Adjustable Bed Frame comes with a 3-speed vibrating massager that provides 15-minutes of stress-relief at a time, as well as 2 USB outlets, an indispensable feature for a connected lifestyle.
Awara’s adjustable bed comes with a 50-night in-home trial, a 3 year warranty, free shipping and returns, and 0% APR financing plans for qualified buyers. Awara does not include free white glove delivery, though they claim the frame takes only minutes to assemble. It’s compatible with a variety of mattress types, such as foam, latex, and air mattresses. The base’s adjustable legs have a height of 15″ and raise to a maximum height of 22” to 28”.

Customer Service
One of the areas that Awara mattresses truly excels in is their customer support, also known as the ‘Sleep Concierge’. I haven’t had the chance to use it but the name is adorable. Their FAQ section also provides helpful information for any purchasing queries, and they can also be reached through email at support@awarasleep.com
