Overview
SpineAlign was created by Dr. Jason Loth, a sports chiropractor of 20 years, to provide a mattress that prioritized spinal support and good posture. The US-manufactured mattresses come in two styles. To make sure that every sleeper gets the individualized support they need, each is available in three levels of firmness.
Construction
The SpineAlign Luxury Hybrid mattress features 13.5 inches of comfort in five layers:
- 1.5” of copper-infused Energex foam, which promotes breathability, while pulling heat away from the body and providing an antibacterial sleeping surface
- 2” of ArcticPHASE hyper-elastic foam with cooling gel to promote airflow
- 1” of visco-elastic memory foam is the ideal transition layer between SpineAlign’s proprietary foams and the coil layer and improves motion isolation
- 8” of quantum edge pocketed coils isolate disturbance and provide customized support
- 1” of HD support base foam gives your mattress a long life and a stable foundation
All foams used in SpineAlign mattresses are CertiPUR-US-certified.
Mattress Cover
SpineAlign mattresses are wrapped in a non-removable mattress cover made of a cotton and polyester blend. It’s soft, breathable, and cool to the touch to help regulate body temperature.
Firmness, Feel & Support
One of the major selling points of SpineAlign mattresses is that they are truly made for every kind of sleeper. Customize the support you get to your sleep style, by choosing between soft, medium, and firm.
A soft mattress is best for side sleepers who need more pressure relief and body contour support.
A medium mattress is best for side, stomach, and back sleepers who need a balance of contour and support. This is the most popular comfort option for both mattresses.
A firm mattress is best for stomach or back sleepers who don’t sink into their mattresses too much and, therefore, require less give in their mattress.
Regardless of firmness, all sleepers will find that SpineAlign mattresses have a comfortable bounce while limiting the amount of motion transfer. However, for extra motion isolation when sharing a bed, opt for a split king, which also allows each partner to choose the perfect comfort and firmness for them.
Customer support aside, SpineAlign mattresses are a great investment for your sleep.
Although Dr. Jason Loth makes certain health claims on the SpineAlign site, it is important to note that these mattresses are not medical devices and cannot treat, mitigate, or cure any disease. His opinions are not based on actual clinical studies, and user experience may vary.
Purchase & Delivery Process
On the SpineAlign website, select the style and size of mattress you prefer, then select one of the three firmness options. Once you’ve placed your order, your mattress should arrive between 2-4 days, depending on your location within the United States. Domestic shipping is free with FedEx. International shipping is not offered, except to Canada for a $300 fee.
Upon receiving your mattress, you have 100 nights to decide if it’s right for you. If after 30 nights, you choose to return your mattress, you’ll need to alert a customer support agent via email, then donate the mattress to a local charity. You will be fully reimbursed upon presentation of your donation receipt. However, if you choose to return your mattress before 30 nights have passed, you may be subject to a restocking fee. If you prefer to exchange your mattress, you should know that the second mattress that is sent to you will be nonrefundable. For warranty claims, SpineAlign says you should email them and they will reply in 5-7 days.
Pillow Offerings
The SpineAlign pillow is a uniquely designed pillow that is intended to promote proper alignment during sleep. Like SpineAlign’s mattress, the pillow is designed by the chiropractor, Dr. Jason Loth. SpineAlign believes that a typical pillow does not automatically fit everyone’s needs, hence this pillow is adjustable. Zippers on the back of the pillow allow you add or remove filling so that it will feel just right for you. The polyester cover is soft and features mesh paneling for added breathability so your pillow won’t feel too hot. It normally costs $169 and comes with a 60 day trial period.

Final Word
SpineAlign is a good mattress choice for those who want a customized sleep experience. Each mattress is available in three firmness levels to choose from, so you’ll get just the right support and comfort that you desire.
Where SpineAlign falls short, however, is in their customer service. Representatives are not readily available and response times can be slow, which may make returns tricky. SpineAlign does not offer white glove delivery or removal and donations made for the purpose of reimbursement need to be handled by the customer, which can be a hassle.
